Description
Manufacture of two units for the production of electrical and thermal energy from synthesis gas, generated by the gasification of surplus meat-and-bone meal.
The work consisted of the following:
- Unit 1 — Gasifier: 8 metres high, 3,800 mm diameter and 10 mm plate thickness, in carbon steel and 253 MA stainless steel.
- Unit 2 — Thermal oxidiser: 12 metres high, 3,800 mm diameter and 12 mm plate thickness, in carbon steel and 253 MA stainless steel.
